Front Porch Video was created by Matthew Cramer in 2002. While working as a free lance videographer Cramer developed the entrepreneur itch, "I knew I wanted to start a company," he says. " the only real question was, what do I call it?"

After much deliberation he arrived at Front Porch Video. " Besides being a relaxed place to sit with a drink, the front porch has a deeper, humanistic significance that resonates strongly with me. It is at once personable and communal. It sits at the nexus of our individual and social lives and is a comfortable intermediary place where we are both public and private citizens."

Though he finds it difficult having to wear all hats Cramer says it's worth it, "Having worked in many different places, making different kinds of videos, it's very gratifying to be able to fully invest myself, all of my humor, and intelligence and compassion, into something I make. The people who hire me appreciate it as well."
